I showed Kelly and Elizabeth around Santa Barbara one day during their visit. Famous for its wineries, shops and restaurants, I'm absolutely infatuated with this beach town. Being two hours away from home made me feel like I was on vacation, too. Good food, drinks and friends -- what more could one need?

  1. Ooh I love Staycations...and wineries! It's amazing what little treasures you can discover in your own neck of the woods. My boyfriend and I have actually made it our goal to take mini vacations closer to home this year rather than spending a lot of money on one big vacation. I think we often overlook what we have so close to home and we want to experience it from a tourist's perspective. I'm glad you had a great time!!
P.S. I also just read your comment on my blog and am so excited that you're going to try out the vegan thing this year. I'm going to try to work myself up to it as well and I could definitely use the moral support!! So far I'm finding vegetarian to be easier than I imagined but then again it's only been 5 days ha! xx

  2. I love the Beach pic! I'm also jealous of it too cause we have snow where I am. I'm glad you had a great time looking at shops and eating and tasting wine. Sounds soooo much fun, I need to do it soon.

  3. I love beach towns! There's just something about the atmosphere. I wish I could afford to move to one, haha, but I'm stuck in Irvine for now.

+ staycations win! Otherwise you never get to know the place you live in!

  4. I love Santa Barbara! there are so many good restaurants and wonderful wine culture up there plus its really beautiful. CA has so many wonderful little gems to explore.

  5. I LOVE Santa Barbara...I've only been once and so want to go back. Looks like a great time!

  6. waaauuuw what a very lovely pictures!! I want to go there!!
