Amazing May : : Photo Roundup

Oh, how I loved this past month! I settled into my new position at Ann Taylor, completed one half of my shopping ban, celebrated three years of bliss with Zach, and began re-branding my blog. More favorite moments...

My first LA blogger meetup!

Baking with bananas instead of eggs.

Meeting one of my favorite blogger friends.

Going to a crazy packed bookstore with Kimberly!

My first Cap'n Crunch frappuchino (inspired by this). Yum!

  2. fun! I'd be interested in the banana thing too! Do you just substitute 1 for 1?

  9. Cute post! I too have done the banana-egg substitute back when I was a FT vegetarian (I now eat everything, but my diet leans heavily toward pescetarian).

For all those wondering, this page sums up the substitute nicely: http://vegetarian.about.com/od/vegetarianvegan101/f/eggsubstitute.htm

Looks like you had a great May, Stephanie!

  10. Thanks for the link, Carolyn! This is the one I used; it says 3 tablespoons of mashed banana per egg. I'll be trying applesauce next!

For those of you interested in the Cap'n Crunch Frap: order the Strawberries & Cream with Toffee Nut flavoring added. I also substituted the cream base for coffee (needed the caffeine) and milk for soy. :)

  14. Your May is so much sunnier than mine! Jealous! I love your specs, by the way. There's nothing cuter than black glasses!

  15. Congrats on 3 years! That frappucino looks really good. I hope we get them in Cleveland because I'm a cereal fiend.

  16. You and Kristy look so cute in that photo!! I would love to meet her in person. I really like your photo of the bookstore too. I could spend weeks in there pouring through the books. Used books are my favorite > I like them better than new. I wonder about who may have read it before me. They have character!
    Thanks for sharing your photos!!
