Look :: Red Dress Remix

Outfit details: Dress - Tea & Tulips. Lace top - Modcloth. Tights - Ann Taylor. Socks - Urban Outfitters. Boots - Payless. Watch - MK.

Before donning this dress for a work party, I turned to the interwebs for answers. I wanted to make it conservative, yet still keep it fun. Many tweeps suggested throwing on a cardigan or blazer, and tights with pumps. More than one told me not to wear boots.

Oops.

I'm not sure why I asked for advice, because in the end, I did exactly what I wanted in the first place... and I didn't get kicked out for being too revealing. I think that's a successful night in a nutshell.

  2. Your dress looks great. You look va-va-voom and in LA that ain't no sin, ja know? If you wanted to play the ingenue, a longer pencil skirt with the boots would be nice, or the short skirt with ankle booties. God you would be so fun to dress up like a doll, chica!

  6. Aww, I like it with the boots. Won't lie, when I was reading the rundown before the pictures and I saw the words "tights" and "socks" I was thinking, Umm...Steeeeph? But it's so cute! And so totally you. Kudos for doing what you want - because you're awesome, so anything you choose to do is awesome too.

  7. You are so gorgeous!! Love the picture with you and your camera and the mirror. Could you please send it to your mama who is not a llama and misses you so? And yes, when you were little, it was very fun to dress you up like the doll that you were and still are obvi. I like the outfit. It worked.
