To be honest, I haven't had much of a social life lately. Between working, working out and blogging, I just haven't had the time or energy to be the party animal I once was. And, surprisingly, I'm okay with that. In fact, life feels pretty solid and drama-free right now.
That said, I'm still an extrovert and I don't think I'll ever be a homebody. I continue to seek adventure and exploration in the little free time that I have. And so, I was really excited when my fellow food-loving friend Celeste suggested a restaurant neither of us had been to: Harvest Moon in Valley Village. We enjoyed a delicious brunch there over the weekend, both of us ordering the Farm Omelet (hers with fruit and tea, mine with hash browns and coffee). It was a wonderfully relaxing morning full of laughter, gossip and chit-chat. I'm so grateful for the friendship that we've had for 3+ years now.
Celeste is such a talented photographer that it was hard for me to choose which photos to share. I've been wearing this polka-dot top every week to work under my suits, so I was excited to style it in a different way. It's definitely become one of my favorite pieces! I've also been wearing flats a lot more lately. Last week, the arches in my feet were starting to hurt so badly that I raced over to Target during my lunch break and picked these up! I also got some Dr. Scholl's inserts. So nerdy, but super helpful. I'm also really excited about this new bag. I love finding interesting pieces that no one else has.
Of course, my girl C looked amazing as always. I'm a little obsessed with those shoes and that necklace. She's a real-life style inspiration for me, and also the only non-blogger friend of mine who reads every post I publish. It feels awesome to have her support. I'm sure we'll have another outing soon, and I'll be documenting the whole thing!
