Lessons :: Friday Feelings / 8

This week, I felt ________ because...

HAPPY: Progress is being made in the baby department! Though we have to wait a couple more weeks to find out the sex, I've felt it kicking like crazy (and so has B now). I saw my new (awesome) doctor yesterday and got a physical on moi, which went well, as far as I know. Lots of people are saying that I look too small to be halfway through pregnancy, but seeing as I've gained 20 pounds thus far I think I'm right on track. As long as baby and me are healthy, I no longer care what I look like anyway. It's funny, but I'm now pretty much the same size that I was last year before I lost weight. Too bad I got rid of all my old clothes!

PROUD: Can I brag a little? I totally shot and edited that photo above, all by myself, in Photoshop! I'm sure it's not perfect, but it was my first time, so be nice. Having a beautiful model (Zhana) def made it easier.

GRATEFUL: My health insurance has finally kicked in, and I can't wait to tell you that crazy story. Otherwise, I have had a fairly easy pregnancy, and I certainly don't take it for granted. I'm not sure why I was chosen to be blessed like this, but I am choosing to enjoy it and continue being optimistic!

EXCITED: I'm currently in San Diego for two weeks to relax and chill with Jess one last time before she deploys. How could I not be excited about that!? I seriously love it down here. The longer I stay in LA, the more I want to leave. It's an awesome city if you're young and single and have money to burn (or if you're visiting), but now that I'm getting older and starting a family it's a totally different situation. I've grown and changed so much in the past 4+ years and I'm ready for something new. We're not planning anything (yet!) but even B is getting restless. We'll see. (Oh, and don't worry -- I'll still be writing away while here!)

LOVED: Totally feeling the love and support from my mom and B's mom and B, and the friends who understand and appreciate my quirks and eccentricities. You know who you are. So thankful!
