7 Items You Should Pack Extremely Careful When Moving To A New House

Whatever you do, you don’t want to forget to cushion your valuables and wrap up your antiques when you move. At Edmonton movers Edmonton Movers, we do our best to help you pack and move difficult items.

However, we may not know what’s fragile unless you tell us what’s in the box. When you have specialty items, there are times when you may want to keep it with you so that you know exactly where it is throughout your move. Do you have expensive China dinnerware? If you have a number of plates and glasses that are very special, then you need to pack boxes a special way. You can first wrap each plate with bubble wrap or newspaper, then place inside of a box, making sure to push bubble wrap or newspaper wrapping into any crevices. You may think that’s the best way to transport precious porcelain, but we want you to go a step further and place this box inside of another sturdy box, just to ensure that it has an added layer of protection.

Do you have extremely fragile antiques? These need to be wrapped with bubble wrap and then taped. When you place inside of the box, make sure that you don’t have other heavy items inside of the box. It should only contain items that aren’t going to crush or shake inside of the box with your glass antiques.

You don’t want to cram a bunch of records into a box either, which will make them more difficult to pull out later. In addition, don’t keep them inside of the box forever. These items should go into a specialty box that you keep with you so you know where it is all times. You should use large, heavy-duty picture boxes to move art and framed prints. You can wrap your art in Glassine, which is smooth paper that is resistant to any type of water, air, and grease stains. After you secure Glassine with tape, you can then wrap the art in bubble wrap and place in a large box. Make sure to completely cover the artwork, including the corners.
